The Last Flight

The parrot was ill in the cage,
No movement, no activity of life,
A starling flew and flew around,
Watched his life and death strife.
House owner was sure of his death,,
He opened the cage-gate at last,
To let him fly away,for last breath,
Above, in open space, forest, so vast.
"Parrot may fly away, cage be empty,
To clean it next day,for a new bird"
But a miracle happened in the night,
Inside cage, life fought a solemn gird.
little starling was sitting in the cage,
Was feeding the parrot thr' her beak,
Though, freedom was precious virtue,
Bondage of love,surpassed all the peak.
